Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken shredded or diced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup fresh spinach leaves optional
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for cooking

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Medium bowl
  • Mixing spoon
  • Tongs for flipping wraps

Method

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create a garlic sauce.
  2. Add the cooked chicken to the garlic sauce and toss until the chicken is well coated. This step ensures that every bite of the wrap is packed with flavor.
  3. Lay out the flour tortillas on a flat surface. Divide the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly among the tortillas, placing it in the center of each.
  4. Top the cheese with the garlic-coated chicken mixture. If using, add a handful of fresh spinach leaves on top of the chicken for an extra burst of freshness.
  5. Fold the sides of each tortilla over the filling, then roll tightly from the bottom to the top to create a wrap. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Place the wraps seam-side down and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Notes

Chef's Tips:
• For a lighter version, use Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise in the garlic sauce.
• Avoid overstuffing the wraps to prevent them from falling apart during cooking.
• Serve with a side of salsa or your favorite dipping sauce for added flavor.
Food Safety:
• Ensure the chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) to prevent foodborne illness.
• Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator and consume within 3 days.
