Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Shallow dishes or bowls
  • Tongs or fork for dipping

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. This ensures the nuggets won't stick and will bake evenly.
  2. In a shallow dish, mix the panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. This blend will give your nuggets a flavorful crunch.
  3. Set up your breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with the breadcrumb mixture. This step-by-step process helps achieve the perfect coating.
  4. Dredge each piece of chicken in the flour, then dip it into the beaten eggs, and finally coat it thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture. Make sure each nugget is evenly coated for maximum crispiness.
  5. Place the coated nuggets on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the nuggets are golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Chef's Tips:
• For extra crispiness, you can spray the nuggets with a light coating of cooking spray before baking.
• Avoid overcrowding the baking sheet to ensure even cooking and browning.
• Serve with honey mustard, barbecue sauce, or ranch for a delightful dipping experience.
Food Safety:
• Ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) to kill harmful bacteria.
• Store leftovers in the refrigerator within two hours of cooking.
